The following charts present the 10 NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards and related Accreditation Criteria. Each standard describes an essential element that together with the other nine standards provide a definition of quality for child care, preschools, and kindergarten program. Standards are numbered 1 to 10.Special Notes for ratios: Note the distinction between group size and center size . A center may have many groups. The UNLVCSUN Preschool is a model inclusive early childhood program that serves children (6 weeks to 5 years of age) of students per semester and, faculty, staff, and the surrounding campus community on a yearround schedule. Birth certificates and shot records are required for registration.
